UKSMG Winter Marathon 2026
The UKSMG aims to promote and encourage activity on the Six Metre band and the Summer Marathon is an ideal opportunity to raise activity.
Who Can Enter?
The UKSMG Summer Marathon is open to ALL amateur radio operators world-wide.
The Marathon is open to everyone with an interest in increasing activity on the Six Metre band.
We would like to thank Hannu OH3WW / OH1HS for his outstanding work prior to 2014 in developing this contest into a successful annual event.
Contest Period
The objective is to work as many 4-digit grid squares as possible between the first day of December 2026 and the last day of January 2027 on the Six Metre band.

Work as many different four-digit Maidenhead locator squares as possible during the Marathon period.
Two Sections
The Marathon is now split into two sections:
Traditional modes used for Six Metre operation.
FT8, FT4 and other eligible digital modes.
Any QSO may be uploaded. The website will then sort the Legacy modes from the Digital modes and present them in separate standings tables.
Simply manage the QSOs you upload to determine which section or sections you enter.
