  4. The sent GRID+Membership part of the exchange should be entered in the file header in the PExch field by the logging software, please check that the values in this field are correct before submitting your log e.g. PExch=JO65FR 1520
  5. UKSMG Membership numbers are a maximum of 4 digits long, in the range 1 - 9999. A null entry should have a zero "0" value. e.g. a membership number of 20 should be entered as 0020. This field should not be left blank in either the sent or recieved exchange.
    • NOTE: There is no need for non members to send "0" as their membership number over the air, but "0" must be recorded in the UKSMG IARU R1 EDI file. Some logging programs like N1MM will do this automatically for you.
  6. Modes codes (1-9) must be one of the following:

    1 SSB SSB
    2 CW CW
    3 SSB CW
    4 CW SSB

  8. With the excpetion of duplicate entries, all incomplete or othwise invalid QSO's should be included to keep the Serial Numbers sent in sequence. The callsign field should contain the text "ERROR" the sent serial number field should contain the serial number allocated by your logging program the QSO points should equal 0 all other fields should be blank.
  9. Duplicate entries should be included to keep the Serial Numbers sent in sequence. The last QSO field "Duplicate-QSO" which in normal circumstances is left blank should contain the single "D" character. If your loggin program doesn't enter a "D" for "DUPES" in the "Duplicate-QSO" please add this manually using a text editor see QSO #6 in the above examples.
  10. Soapbox Entries. Enter any comments in the [Remarks], if your software doesn't create a SOAPBOX entry, add a new line before the [QSORecords] identifier starting with [Remarks] and enter your comments here.

  12. Your EDI log file should be named and submitted as YOURCALL.edi.
