2004 SUMMER CONTEST RESULTS
With 53 logs,exactly as much as last year, a nice edition….and as
usual with not too good propagation. Strange enough it becomes more
and more a European event instead of a UK event. There was good
activity from the UK, but it seems it's too much trouble to send in
the log. There are still 5 UK sections, but considering the number
of logs from the UK I wonder if that is still useful.
Would it be an idea to reduce the number of UK
sections to 1 or 2 ?? And make the SWL and QRP/Novice a worldwide
section? We could get more logs maybe from elsewhere. If you have
any suggestions about what to do with those UK sections, please
let me know at contest@uksmg.org
Also maybe it's time to introduce winter contests
again. As the sun-cycle is almost at it's lowest point with low
activity and almost zero dx it could be time to become more active
in this quiet months of the year. Anyone interested to participate
maybe ??
As things look right now, next UKSMG contest will
again be the first weekend of June…..2005 of course.
Congrats to all winners in each section….hope to get
your log again next year.
