This privacy policy sets out how the UKSMG uses and protects any information that you give the UKSMG when you use this website. The UKSMG is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Personal data on this website that has been provided to the UK Six Metre Group (UKSMG), is held under strict conditions and the protection of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and UK Data Protection Act 1998.


The UKSMG holds this data for the specified usage only and does not use the data for any other purpose than that it was supplied for. The UKSMG does not sell any of its databases to third parties and does not solicit orders from data held on this site. The UKSMG does however reserve the right to send information on future events and offers in the future if it so chooses.


If you do not wish to receive these mailings and/or wish to be removed from the system in part or completely or require further information on what information we may hold about you please send an e-mail to the and your record will be amended to reflect this. Under the terms of the Act the UKSMG only retain the data as long as absolutely necessary to complete the agreed usage and comply with any legal obligations. Once the use to which the data is put has been completed all copies the data held in or on any media (including paper) are destroyed. Employees, officers of the UKSMG (which includes Chairman, Committees and Honorary Officers) when acting on behalf of the UKSMG are entitled to make use of the data held by the UKSMG. However, access to the data is restricted to those who need it to perform their duties on behalf of the UKSMG.


Individuals have the right to be supplied with a copy of all the information held about them (but only them and not other individuals). This material can be obtained by written request (only) sent to the UKSMG . There is currently no fee for supplying the data although this is subject to change. The UKSMG will respond to the request within 40 days.

Your UKSMG Website Account

With a UKSMG Website account, you can access UKSMG products and services. Signing into your account enables improved personalisation, and allows you access to your membership products and services, allows you to make payments using payment instruments stored in your UKSMG account and enable other enhanced features and settings. When you sign into your account to access a product, we create a record of that sign in.

Creating and using your UKSMG Website Account. When you create your UKSMG Website account, you will be asked for certain personal data and we will assign a unique ID number to identify your account and associated information. While some products, such as those involving payment, require a real name, you can sign into and use some UKSMG products without providing your real name. Some data you provide, such as your display name, callsign and email address, can be used to help others find and connect with you.

Signing in. When you sign into your UKSMG account, we create a record of your sign-in, which includes the date and time, information about the product you accessed, your sign-in name, the unique number assigned to your account, your IP address and your operating system and browser version.

Google Translate

This site offers Google Translate as a service to our non english speaking users, Google Translate is a service provided by Google, Inc. Google Translate sets number of cookies (default is 8). The translation takes place in a Google site outside the UKSMG's control and therefore disabling cookies on the UKSMG website using the Cookie Control widget provided will not prevent Google from setting cookies when translating one of our pages on thier site.
