	Some conclusions

The Georgetown NAAFI

1. Ascension island is a fantastic and unusual place to visit and I would highly recommend ANYONE to visit for a holiday – or a radio DXpedition for a lifetime experience!

2. The island travel office says that the island is good for walking and snorkelling. I think they should add amateur radio to the list as well!

3. Like VP8, ZD8 is a magical place for 6m propagation as expected.

4. I should have spent a month on the island!

5. Did I really need a 400-watt amplifier? My probable consideration is no. The band seems to be either open or shut. Being the DX, everyone could hear me anyway! When I had the amp on I had great difficulty getting some of the callsigns of the stations calling me.
